| Department Summary | The Coordinator of Outdoor Pursuits Trips & Clinics reports to the Assistant Director, Outdoor Recreation & Education and provides leadership, strategic planning, administration, and day to day decision making for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the Outdoor Pursuits program Trips & Clinics component within the Department of Well-Being & Recreation. Primary areas of responsibility include direct supervision and delivery of the Outdoor Pursuits New Adventures summer orientation program and coordination of the Outdoor Pursuits Trips & Clinics programming and its related operational staff, outdoor equipment, policies and procedures, and risk management operation. This position will assist with cultivating strategic partnerships with division, campus, and community constituents to support and advance the department’s mission to enhance student well-being and develop the outdoor trips programming experience. |
| Position Profile | Supports the student experience outside the classroom by developing and implementing programs that promote student integration, well-being, and success. Provides instructional or program activities related to recreation, leisure, and fitness. Assists in planning and directing a comprehensive recreation program for students, faculty, and staff, including intramural and sports clubs. May be responsible for facilities management. |
