Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Detail in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following site protocols and reporting expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to control access, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Support a healthcare location by assisting with visitor direction, de-escalation when appropriate, and documentation of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
