- Under administrative direction, this position will be responsible for leading both external outreach partnerships and initiatives, as well as managing existing internal program-specific outreach. This position will also be responsible for:
- Assisting the department director in the direction of administrative or operational functions for the department.
- Create, develop, and manage an external outreach team for Columbus Water & Power.
- Manage our existing Blueprint sanitary sewer program and the Outreach team connected to our Lead Service Line Replacement program.
- Research, identify, and forge the community outreach partnerships that best align with CWP's mission to educate the public on the value of our services and enhance recruitment for the next generation of the CWP team.
- Work with the Communications team to develop a global strategy and plan that aligns with CWP outreach.
- Be an ambassador for CWP by representing the department at community events and, at times, having an active role as a presenter or speaker.

Serves as an advisor to the director on activities and or functions related to the department;
Participates in the formulation and implementation of rules, regulations, and policies;
Develops and coordinates special projects or programs, such as the Small Business Concierge, initiated by the department;
Oversees and coordinates administrative or operational functions, such as departmental fiscal and public/media relations, within the department;
Prepares comprehensive and technical reports, documents, and correspondence;
Represents the director or the department at meetings with constituencies, civic associations, business and special interest groups, community and neighborhood groups, or the public;
Keeps the director informed, on a timely basis, of all situations that could affect the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives;
Directs, guides, and evaluates performance of staff within assigned area of responsibility; ensures programmatic alignment with departmental goals and administrative strategy. - Test/Job Contact Information
