About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a firm that is a prominent national powerhouse, our Columbus Commercial Litigation practice is experiencing exceptional growth. We are immediately seeking a sophisticated, mid-level litigation associate to join our expanding team in Ohio.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious attorney looking to step away from the grueling billable expectations of mega-firms without sacrificing the complexity or prestige of their caseload. We offer a stable, resource-rich platform characterized by a genuinely collaborative culture and a transparent, highly realistic pathway to partnership.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a talented advocate with a strong commercial litigation background who is prepared to hit the ground running and immediately take a meaningful role in case management.

  • Experience & Training: 4 to 7 years of substantive commercial litigation experience. Prior or current experience in a sophisticated law firm setting is required; however, candidates with a hybrid background (early law firm training followed by recent in-house corporate experience) are welcome.
  • Core Capabilities: Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills are essential. Candidates should possess proven hands-on experience drafting dispositive motions, managing complex discovery, taking or defending depositions, and preparing for court appearances.
  • Practice Fit: This role focuses strictly on complex, corporate-facing commercial matters.
  • Licensing: Active admission to the Ohio Bar is preferred. Candidates eligible and willing to complete a timely bar transfer or UBE admission to Ohio are fully encouraged to apply.

Hours, Flexibility & Compensation Structure

We believe that professional excellence is best achieved within a sustainable framework. Our firm stands out in the market for its attainable performance metrics and commitment to flexibility.

  • Manageable Hours: A balanced 1,800 creditable hour requirement. This structure natively rewards professional development, allowing up to 50 pro bono hours and 100 hours of CLE, business development, or training to count directly toward your annual threshold.

  • Competitive Base Salary: $150k-$190k
  • Robust Incentives
