Director of Teaching and Learning K-12: Lakewood Board of Education; 2026-2027 school year; 260 day administrative contract; Coordinate the planning, delivery, assessment and ongoing improvement for teaching and learning grades K-12; appropriate administrative license required; building administrative experience preferred. Responsible to Superintendent and/or designee.
DIRECTOR OF TEACHING AND LEARNING K-12:
The successful candidate qualifications include:
- In-depth knowledge of the Ohio Improvement Process and the ability to align professional development to the improvement of instructional practice and student performance;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing innovative curriculum expectations and effective instructional practices;
- Thorough understanding of and the ability to provide leadership in the effective use of instructional technology by students and staff;
- Demonstrated ability to work with staff, students, parents and community;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Collaborative, yet decisive, leadership style;
- Ability to work effectively in a management team approach;
- Ability to plan and executive effective meetings with building level administrators and other teams as necessary;
- Identifying and improving school development issues and evaluate the impact;
- Inspire educational progress and innovation to accelerate student achievement and progress;
- Self-driven learner and leader.
