    Position Overview:

    • We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our 4th grade team. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who loves inspiring young learners and fostering a positive classroom environment. The 4th grade teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring that all students meet their individual academic goals.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and adapt the 4th-grade ELA curriculum according to state standards and district guidelines.
    • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and levels.
    • Build a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe to express themselves.
    • Maintain classroom rules and expectations to promote a productive learning atmosphere.
    • Encourage positive behavior and manage any disciplinary issues using fairness and consistency.
    • Assess student progress through ongoing observation, quizzes, and assignments.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students on their work and assist them in setting academic goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate updates to parents as needed.
    • Work closely with the grade-level team and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
    • Collaborate with special education professionals to support students with diverse needs.
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and classroom activities.
    • Foster strong relationships with students to encourage motivation, participation, and engagement in learning.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor\"s degree in Education or a related field.
    • Valid teaching license or credential for the appropriate grade level/subject area.
    • Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience, particularly in upper elementary grades.
    • Strong understanding of 4th-grade content and effective instructional strategies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build rapport with students.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students and staff for extended periods.

    Additional Information:

    • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
