Job Description

Construction Project Manager &- Federal Projects

A nationally recognized General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex federal construction projects across the U.S. This is an opportunity to join a builder known for delivering critical work for agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, DOD, and other federal clients — with the resources, systems, and leadership support to do the job right.

If you thrive in structured, high-accountability environments and want to be part of a contractor trusted with some of the country’s most important projects, this role is worth a closer look.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, inspectors, design teams, and internal leadership
  • Oversee and mentor project engineers, APMs, and field teams
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal requirements, safety standards, and quality control plans
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to maintain schedule, productivity, and site execution
  • Drive successful project outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven Project Management experience on federal construction projects
  • Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOD, VA, GSA, or similar agencies
  • Strong understanding of EM 385-1-1, CQM, submittals, RFIs, and federal documentation
  • Ability and willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, P6, or similar platforms

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Work for one of the nation’s leading General Contractors with a long federal backlog
  • Large-scale, high-visibility projects with real responsibility and autonomy
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, per diem, housing, and travel support
  • Clear path for long-term career growth within a stable, well-capitalized organization
  • Strong operational support — you’re not doing this alone

Who This Is a Great Fit For

  • Federal PMs looking for bigger projects and broader responsibility
  • Project Managers ready to step into a national platform
  • Professionals who value structure, process, and accountability
  • Leaders who want their work to matter — not just another commercial build
