Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital Schedule: Part- time opportunity. Compensation: The starting range is determined by skill set, and years of experience in the field. What You'll Do: At VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital, you’ll join a 6-doctor team that focuses on caring for dogs and cats, with a strong reputation for compassionate medicine and long-standing client relationships. As a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Lakota Hills, you will support the team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures Take patient histories and perform TP - Rs (temperature, pulse, respiration) Restrain animals safely and compassionately Prepare and clean exam rooms Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics Maintain accurate medical records and support charting Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits Support surgery prep and recovery as needed Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment At VCA, we’re passionate about delivering world-class veterinary care while supporting the people who make it possible.
