Normal Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 20 hours/week (Flex schedule).- Duties/Responsibilities
Assist Community Development Program Coordinator foster and maintain relationships with Greene County community leaders, non-profit agencies, boards and committees including local officials, shelter providers, housing solutions, Red Cross, family violence and local Chambers of Commerce; identifies alternative sources of funding for community projects. Assist with Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) project management; site visits, documentation and program compliance. Attends pre-bid and/or preconstruction meetings; conducts onsite inspections to determine program compliance with prevailing wage; prepares project contracts.
Conducts research and assists with the Ohio Department of Development Programs: CDBG, CHIP, Demo. Researches grant opportunities; identifies solutions to address strategic problems; utilizes Economic Impact Score Software (E.I.S.S.) to gather data.
Assists the Economic Development Program Coordinator with targeting industries key to Greene County’s Business Retention and Expansion (B.R.E.) Program and scheduling. Provides project support and resource information; engages in follow-up, project related communication; prepares responses to project requests, businesses and other organizational inquiries.Assist CDPC with providing referrals, guidance and information regarding fair housing laws, housing programs and landlord/tenant relations to individuals, community organizations and businesses to ensure compliance with rules and regulations/fair housing laws; distributes related literature quarterly; responds to inquiries, investigates problems to resolve program related issues; prepares and maintains a wide variety of related documents (e.g. reports, newsletters, attendance sheets, records and informational materials).

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predictable and regular attendance is required.
Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Incumbents may be subjected to travel and inclement weather.
